Shared micromobility vs. other modes

One of the topics discussed during working group meetings was whether to focus only on micromobility or to address every mobility option currently operating. While these services and their vehicles certainly do not operate in a vacuum, the goal for this working group was to focus specifically on shared micromobility, starting narrow and working within a finite universe to develop a cohesive process. While some of these questions have been answered, to at least some degree, for specific vehicle types, the working group started from scratch in the context of preparing for the next unknown micromobility service or vehicle form factor. Throughout the process of developing these recommendations, however, other modes, services and the broader transportation network were kept in mind. Many of the proposed questions and metrics should also apply well to other existing and future modes and services.
